General Travel Info
Flights Into New England Airports:
Logan Airport is Boston’s main airport and services most major airlines except for Southwest. You may be able to save hundreds of dollars on your flight by flying on Southwest airlines to Manchester, NH or Providence, RI and then renting a car and driving approximately an hour to Boston.
In one example we tried, a flight from Philadelphia to Boston on another airline was over $800.00. The same flight to Providence on Southwest was just over $200.00.
If you are flying Southwest, the nearest airports are in:
- Manchester, NH Airport ( MHT) – approx. 1 hour (58 miles) to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel
- Providence, RI Airport ( PVD ) – approx. 1 hour (60 miles) to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel

By Train:
The Acela Express (Amtrak) runs from Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York to Boston.

Transportation from Logan Airport to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers:
Taxis are available from Logan Airport. (Taxi rate is approximately $25.00 – $30.00)
You can also take the T to the hotel. Ask for directions at the information desk in the airport.
Also, you can also take the Ultimate Shuttle, which runs $14.00 per person/one-way. The shuttle circles the airport terminals periodically, but you can call 888-437-4379 to arrange for a pick-up. Tickets are then purchased onboard. You can easily reserve both your arrival and departure to and from the airport by visiting their Web site.
