The 2012 Building Learning Communities Conference is designed to have an immediate and long range impact on improving teaching and learning. What first started as a "jam session" of ideas between friends and education colleagues has grown into something truly special. It's a real treat for those who love learning.

Each year at BLC, we welcome representatives from around the world along with some of the most prestigious leaders in the field of education. In recent years, we have welcomed educators from all over the world. Our conference program features hands-on pre-conference workshops, keynotes and over 90 main session workshops.
Yes. Each year we have presenters and participants that teach at all levels of the school spectrum. Workshop sessions that elementary teachers might find especially useful deal with critical thinking, online community building, and global partnerships. There will be information and practical ideas to use for all students, at all levels. We will have an suggested elementary strand this year.
Boston has all sorts of highlights: Freedom Trail, whale watching, shopping downtown, Faneuil Hall… Ask the concierge at the hotel for maps and details. We will be in downtown Boston within walking distance to the Boston Commons and the Freedom Trail. Also, the stop for the Trolly Tour of Boston is across the street from the hotel. There are several tours of Boston. You can search the web for more information..
Yes! All workshop sessions will have wireless connectivity. Wireless connections are also available in guest rooms for an additional charge. Free wireless will be available 24 hours a day on the Mezzanine and 4th floor.
Your pre-conference presenter will have conference materials ready for you at your workshop. You will receive a conference program electronically prior to the conference or you may download one from this site.
We hope to have any handouts available through our conference Web site.
Conference registration does not include hotel and arrangements must be made directly with the hotel. The conference hotel will not accept a purchase order.
